Parental Units,

I have received notices that my packages have arrived - I just have to go pick them up.  I got the blown up posters of the pictures I colored - Smith and Benfield have determined that you are the coolest mom ever.  I already knew that.

It's been a hard couple of days, Benfield (Benny) keeps getting worse, she has a hard time doing the work, yesterday we got half way to TCC before we had to turn back, she looked like walking death.  I was sure I would have to carry her home.  We called Sister Summerhays and she will call us at noon today with some decision - Benny may have to go home Thursday with Smith.  If she does go, I have to take over the area.  I've only been out 6 weeks and for a large amount of the time my Companions have been sick.  It scares me, but I also know that I will have lots of help and I know I can count on some of the ward to help me.

Amanda is going to Utah July 25, she has a friend at BYU, I told her you would want to meet her.  Smith will be there too, possibly Benny.  Do you want me to give her your address and phone number?  I think you'll love her - she is amazing.  She has a 16 year old brother and lives with her aunt and uncle here in Tally - she keeps her spirits high and she loves the gospel.  She bought a quad on line, she called us when it arrived and she carries it with her everywhere.  She wants to be an interior decorator and has promised to help me decorate my home many years from now.

I was bragging about your cookies dad a while ago and I have been challenged to prove it, so if you could send me the recipe it would be helpful.  I need to prove that my boasts are justified.

Monica is doing well, she has been reading the Book of Mormon but doesn't believe it yet.  She is really taking the time to study it and she is opening up more to us.  It makes it easier to teach when we know more of where she is coming from.  We will have 3 investigators at church on Sunday, it's going to be busy.

I'm worried about how little work we have been doing because of illness.  I know that God understands, but sometimes I feel like I'm wasting His time.  I'm perfectly healthy - I can do it, but I have to sit and wait for my companions to feel well enough to go.  I hope that I won't have some soul yelling at me during judgment that I didn't help them because I was too distracted taking care of my companions.  I'm so grateful for all the things that I have learned, and that I can really trust in Heavenly Father to heal me and keep me healthy.

As for the good parts of my week, Tuesday we were at TCC teaching Monica and had a huge storm come up with thunder and lighting.  Durffey and Call found us and took us to their apartment, we couldn't go inside, but they pulled out the couch for us to sit on sheltered under a cement patio.

Wednesday Benfield was really sick and we called around trying to find an Elder that was close by to give her a blessing - no one was close but Call and Hill biked up from TCC to our apartment to give her a blessing.  It was a beautiful blessing and she as able to sleep that night.  I was grateful for their sacrifice and their willingness to serve and help us.

Thursday again at TCC we had our booth up - we read the Book of Mormon with Monica and talked with her for a while.  Later we celebrated Benny's 6th month mark by burning a pair of her knee highs.

Yesterday I already told you about - last night we had dinner with the Bowcutts and had a NERF war.  I almost won!  It was down to me and Durffey - he pulled some Mission Impossible move and I lost, but I was proud to have lasted as long as I did.

Today we are going to Wacolla Springs.  Apparently this is where all the Gators live.  Smith has yet to see one.  The Bowcutts offered to take us - we get on a boat (commercial so it's within the rules) and take a 45 minute ride and look at all the Gators.  I think it will be fun.  Anyway thank you for all the birthday wishes and encouragement.  Love you lots - Kellil

I'm doing really well.  Yesterday Amanda set a date to be baptized, she had a rough week, and we gave her things to read and taught her how to fast - we fasted with her and after church she came up to us and said she wanted to be baptized!  I love this gospel and I love that God always answers prayers.  He may not do it the way and when you want it, but in the end He always will.

This week we are stuffed full of appointments, it's going to be a busy but fulfilling week.  I love you lots and look forward to hearing from you again.  Kelli
